Jay & Joss crowned The Magic Circle’s Champions of Stage Illusion

Jay & Joss have been crowned The Magic Circle’s Champions of Stage Illusion for 2024.

The duo performed at the champions’ gala at the Clapham Grand in London, alongside the winners of the year’s other categories.

The night came close to not happening. During rehearsals Jay fell while balancing on a sword, and was left with a black eye and a bruised back, a moment reported by the Daily Mail. He was back on stage within days. The duo shared the footage to show the real risks behind large-scale illusions. The Daily Mail noted Jay as a regular performer at the Royal Variety Aftershow Party, where the duo appear every year.

Earlier in the autumn they also performed in The Magic Circle Benevolent Fund’s charity show.
