Jay & Joss wow the Britain’s Got Talent judges with a wedding-themed illusion
Jay & Joss’s Britain’s Got Talent audition aired on ITV on 18 May 2024, with a wedding-themed illusion that won over Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.
The routine drew on the couple’s own story: engaged in 2019 and married in 2023, they built the act around their wedding day. Simon Cowell told them, “You could win this show.”
The Mirror covered the audition, including the moment Dec Donnelly spotted a detail in the trick and warned, “you’ve stitched them up”.
Before the episode aired, the duo appeared live on ITV’s Lorraine, where Lorraine Kelly welcomed them to the studio. The same month they worked as magic consultants on Doctor Faustus at Cornwall’s clifftop Minack Theatre.
